Former Cuban president, Fidel Castro, a drug lord?

Juan Reinaldo Sanchez, a former body guard of the former Cuban leader Fidel Castro wrote a book called "The Double Life of Fidel Castro: My 17 Years as Personal Bodyguard to El Lider Maximo." That double life of Fidel Castro was drug trafficking. Sanchez claims in his book that he overheard Castro and former Cuban Gen. Jose Abrantes discussing a drug trafficking delivery in the United States. Apparently this discussion was about a Cuban living in the United States that smuggles drugs in a boat that has been working with the Cuban government. Sanchez has also heard Castro making a lot of drug operations during his time as leader. Castro also tried covering up his drug trafficking incidents by the engineering trials in 1986 that led to the death of  General Jose Abrantes. Fidel Castro's mindset of drug trafficking was, "If the Yanks were stupid enough to use drugs that came from Colombia, not only was that not his problem … it served his revolutionary objectives in the sense that it corrupted and destabilized American society,” Sanchez wrote in his book. Does Fidel still do these operations since he's not the leader?
